Final analysis: Joe Thornton is overrated?
Once again, Jumbo Joe has gone missing in the playoffs.
When "his team" needs him most, he does nothing.
I predict he retires without a Cup and with this label stuck to him always.
Ultimately, a player is judged by the prerformance they give in the big games. Many think Forsberg is better than Lindros simply because he got his teams to win it all.
Ideas/thoughts?
One point in this round.
Morgan- Intelligent statement. You persoanlly attack me , yet you don’t answer the question/respond with any significant detail.
New final analysis- You’re a Roenick fan. Enough said.
YOURMOM- His average per game oin the regular season is WAY higher than what he does in the playoffs. I don’t care about goals either. I’m talking points and presence. I watched the game last night and he played nearly 21 minutes of doing nothing.
BOB- good point. I’ll wait to see, but ig I am the Sharks fans/GM, etc., I am pissed .
YOURMOM- I gave stats…want more? one point in last 3 games.
And no, I have watched more than one game. I am in Boston. I know his ways waty too much
Simply this,
Turco> Nabokov
Roy> Beezer, Chechmanek or whomever that year’s flavour would happen to be
Much too early to proclaim that Joe will never get one. His play-off stats have indeed left something to be desired.
Also remember that Forsberg had alot of support, especially the likes of Sakic.
As far as "his team", the captain is Patrick Marleau and captain’s don’t do what he did. If you don’t know what I am referring to……it was the "double pelican" he pulled in Game 2.

You’re a total faggot

You are seriously annoying. Joe had like a point a game average… same as the regular season. Thornton is a set up man not a shooter. It is annoying when announcers talk about how he’s only scored once in the playoffs… like that means something?
Do you have any actual stats to share or is this just your assessment after watching one game?

Absolutely, Joe is awesome in the regular season, but come playoffs, he does not come up with big games. He is an incredible passer and when his team mates don’t get open, which is what happens in the playoffs, he tends to disappear.

joe thorton is not overrated. i think he’s just feeling the pressure of the playoffs and the expectations everyone has had on the sharks for the last 4/5 years (even before campell), and maybe he’s squeezing his stick too much.
joe thorton used to be the sharks team, and now i guess he’s not, but that doesn’t mean that he didn’t contribute in the regular season (which has value on the post season), but i think that they are being outplayed and outmatched and that there is a breakdown going on in the d…and i’m not gonna hate on nabby, because he is amazing, but some people are comparing the goals he let in to the goals carey price has let in (trying to say they’re soft goals), but i disagree with that. they’re even saying nabby’s rattled and that they should put in boucher. basically w/e marleau did was a no no and i don’t think the team wants to win bad enough. ron wilson is going to get fired, and there’s going to be a blowup of the team.
