DOA: Dead or Alive (2006) IMDB rating: 4.90 Plot: A number of fighters are invited to DOA, an invitational martial arts contest. They travel to the tournament island by plane, until they have to jump out mid-flight with parachutes, and then have until sundown to reach the main island to be entered into the tournament. Fighters are then pooled against one another in a knock-out style tournament, with the loser of a battle sent home, and the winner progressing to the subsequent round. The plot revolves around four female fighters who begin as rivals, but subsequently find themselves teaming up against another force.

do you think have the better graphics, 3 or 2 ultimate?
personally, i think 3 is far more beautiful to look at, while 2 ultimate has a far better "flow" to it, for lack of a better word. also not to mention that 3’s environment was superior compared to 2.
ultimately, i think 3 had better visuals while 2 had better flow of gameplay. i mention these two games and not 4 because these two are from the same era. also it isnt a big secret that the graphics for the plays in 4 are the same as doa 2 ultimate with updated lighting and environment graphics. what do you think?

Discarding a card in MTG?
I have a little card called Baru, Fist of Krosa.

One of it’s conditions says:
"Discard another card named Baru, Fist of Krosa: Put an X/X green Wurm creature token into play, where X is the number of lands you control."

My question is this…

I have another card that says: During your upkeep you may pay 2 colorless and one Green mana to return a creature card from your graveyard to your hand.

Can I discard another copy of Baru, Fist of Krosa during my upkeep? If so this is a pretty deadly combo as I could keep discarding and paying 3 mana as long as I had it.

I have read the rules and have found no help as to when an ability that requires a discard resolves.

Audition song ideas, anyone?
My Musical Theatre class is doing a Showcase with the Acting and Musical Theatre classes combined. The MT students have to choose 2 of the four possible shows to audition for, and I chose Fiddler on the Roof and Damn Yankees. We’ll be doing one song with CD accompaniment and a cold reading of a couple of scenes. Any ideas for audition songs that would fit both shows (I can sing any female part, but Soprano I or II is best). I know it’s hard to think of a song that fits both (which is why I’m asking the Yahoo community) so any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Question about swaddling?
For moms with older babies/children, when did you stop swaddling your baby? My son will be five weeks tomorrow and if he’s not sleeping on my chest (which he only does during the day) he HAS to be swaddled or he gets his arms and hands in his face and just generally squirms too much to fall/stay asleep. I don’t mind swaddling him at all and I’m not in a hurry get him to stop or anything, just kind of wondering how long some of you swaddled for… I’m sure it has to do with the child and when they stop liking it.

I can’t remember exactly, but I just stopped when they didn’t like it anymore. You’ll know because they will be able to get their arms and legs free. Until then if they liked to be swaddled you can continue doing it.

Why? Well several reasons. I don’t believe god or gods exist just because some dusty old book tells me to believe something unquestioningly. Another reason, there is no proof that there is a god or gods and that burden of proof rests with the believers, not the unbelievers. Also, *IF* there was or is a god, it has nothing to do with us and we aren’t special in relation to the ENTIRE universe. We are a speck of dirt in comparison to the size of 18 of our solar systems (even more because the mere fact that I put a number down means that the universe is even bigger than that). We evolved by chance and for reasons that we will never know and I don’t intend to investigate the matter any further because there is no proof.

This nightmare becomes another part of my past..

Another Romeo and Juliet….

Drowning in his misery

He see’s himself as somewhat of a mystery

He’s not good enough for her

He knows by far

So he keeps drawing back

Into the drugs and alcohol

afraid to lose his heart

Tears are falling from her face

She see’s him as better

And never thought of him as a disgrace

I’m not good enough for him

She cries out..

But her heart is filled with her very own self doubt

Love is gone away from here

Like a cloud that drowns their tears

They need each other

And it’ll never become clear

As Hatred words fill their ears

While they lie in their unblissful fears

They’re only love is now

their only hate

Seeping lower he can’t catch up

Down down he falls

and can’t realize when enough is enough

he’s slowly killing himself

and the truth will be unknown forever

he needs her here now more sooner than later

Why oh why can’t this love be true

She screams I love you

But it’s too late

His pictures and memories are what she now must face

She can’t take it so on her bed she laid

She said goodbye to everyone

Whose life’s she may have changed

As she tells them she’ll see them all again one day

And Suddeny from the sky pours the rain

Yet another couple died today

Love is gone away from here

Like a cloud that drowns their tears

They need each other

And it’ll never become clear

As Hatred words fill their ears

While they lie in their unblissful fears

their only hate

Not too bad! Work on being more succinct, really pack a punch with every single word. I think the first one was the best, try to avoid so much prose.

You write really good. I liked the second one more than the first though. Your expressions are really good and (at least I think so) best expressed in the simple words you have used. The ending was not a downer, although I can say it was a bit predictable (see the lyrics of the song "Whisky Lullaby" by Brad Paisley and Allison Krauss. Still I think it is really good. Keep it up.
