Plot: Finn is a young graduate student, finishing a master’s thesis, and preparing for marriage to her fiance Sam. But thoughts of the end of the free life, and a potential summer fling, intrude. Military Men are just dumb stupid animals to be used as pawns in foreign policy?
My Question is, Who said that quote and why?
I feel no quilt for my trolling, b/c i know the troops are pawns and are NOT fighting for my freedom, (why dont u braindead morons get it?, stop telling me they are fighting for my freedom, they are not, your all brainwashed)and those same troops you support will be used against the american people very soon, and i guarentee you, they will obey there orders.
They are fair game, for that.
Seeing as how you seem to consider the military to be an unnecessary anachronism, I suggest you go confer with the city fathers of Troy. Wait, I forgot, they too, thought the military unnecessary, disbanded it and were almost immediately annihilated, so I guess that idea is out the window.
PS: Two things. 1. Learn to spell or at least use spell checker.
2. The military is only required to obey lawful orders. Ordering them to fire on citizens who are not in open revolt, is not lawful.

Kissinger
EDIT- I can’t believe anyone gave a thumbs-down on a one word, to the point TRUE answer! Is there a "rightie" out there who is offended? Well look elsewhere- Henry Kissinger said it, not me. It was during the Vietnam War.

I can live with that, so why not bring our troops home?

You are the best arguement for the draft to be reinstated I’ve seen so far, coward.

You are not a liberal. Your lack of understanding of things in reality is less than adequate to declare a political party as something you can adhere to for more than 7 seconds.
You are not well.

Sorry but once again you have no clue to facts and the truth.
Some day when you actually grow up and learn facts rather than the hate you keep putting out then the little light bulb might come on in your brain.
Doubtful but maybe.

O.K you win. I was brainwashed and now I see that I was doing the wrong thing. I wish I had known that while I still had my foot, but at the TIME I THOUGHT I was doing the right thing as we all do not have the hindsight or the ability to make the logical decision you have. I wonder though, what you would do, if america were attacked because we had no army. Would you let your wife get raped in front of you or would you fight off her attacker.
Sometimes it is not as simple as you want it to be, it was not simple for me and my process of understanding has changed, but I still respect our troops because they are doing the best they can and most feel they are doing the right thing, that is because America Sent THem there.
The voters are responsible, not the soldiers with families who would just like to defend our country but get sent off to police the world. That is where your theory is sick and demented and hurtful and deeply offensive.
If it were not for your American defense forces you would not be free and someone could take your family from you.
Truth.
Thanks for the Thanks for losing my foot serving my country.

Their orders genius. I really do wish that I lived in your little world. Having to realize that what happens across the street might actually impact my life. When I took the oath it was about defending the country and the constitution of the united states and said nothing about the hired help in the white house. I do not know if the oath has changed. I am sure that they are aware that they have been hung out to dry. I am also sure that our lives would be somehow effected if they were not out there, running into a hornets nest every day. To believe that to be untrue is self serving and painfully naive.

You’ve taken Kissinger’s quote out of context.
Henry Kissinger, quoted in "Kiss the Boys Goodbye: How the United States Betrayed Its Own POW’s in Vietnam"
He was talking about the government, not the people that serve it.

I have to say you finally figured it out. My dad being in the military, you can assume that he just sort of waits for orders like a retard. He spent a year in Iraq because the general told him too and he was waiting to destroy our freedom as he sacrificed his life so cowards like you could complain about those who let you complain. I was obviously brainwashed and you just saved us all you pathetic excuse for a man.

Ahhh, gotta love these simple minded, Govt educated, fools that post questions like this filled with spelling and grammar errors.
jonn449 | Oct 02, 2009
You said that quote, and it’s because you’re a brainless libiot.
Your question/rant only displays your profound ignorance of US military values, professionalism and its relation to the US Constitution.
You also demonstrate that you know nothing about how the US military relates to safeguarding the freedom of the Americans it truly defends, including your freedom to trash-talk here about something which your statements here prove you know absolutely nothing about.
Clearly you’ve never interacted with members of the US military, nor paid attention to any history that wasn’t leftist propaganda. You’re just another rabid, ranting, anti-war, anti-military, leftist propaganda-spouting, kool-aid-drinking peace-hole.
That makes you fair game. How do you feel about that, smart guy?
Why don’t you ask some actual active-duty military personnel this question?
I dare you.
So you feel no quilt. Do you feel blankets or comforters? Another semi-literate libiot betrayed by over-reliance on spellcheck.
