If you can fully replicate those songs up to speed and in rhythm then you’re pretty good but it’s not just the skill to play but the ability to write songs and sing unless you have a band. It all depends on the perserverance you have in order to achieve that goal.

I think I may be Jesus?
I had this weird gut feeling the other night, kind of that holy feeling, like the one you get when you stare at the wall for to long while eating a grapefruit. Then not long after, I drank a glass of water and it tasted like Holy water (I kid you not). I then poured a glass for my friend Peter and he agreed with me, so obviously I’m not lying. The next day came and I had forgotten about the mysterious previous night, but then, something weird happened, priests started stalking me… when I asked why they had decided to follow me, they said they had no clue, only that they where pulled by a holy attraction. Weird right? So anyway, I sprinted in the opposite direction and ran onto the road, I was hit by a Honda Civic ( a red one, filled with Italians). I thought I had died. I woke up a few days later in hospital, when I stood up the nurses nearly had a heart attack, apparently I had been dead. So I called them liars, left the hospital and went home to play PS3. Then I thought to myself, this all seems vaguely familiar?, then it clicked, I must be Jesus. So I shaved my beard, took off my robe and came on here to see if anyone agrees or I could be just a senile 20 year old with nothing better to do.So, am I Jesus?

Shining, The (1980) IMDB rating: 8.50 Plot: A novelist – Jack Torrance take a job interview as winter caretaker of the isolated, old, huge and beautiful Overlook Hotel. Am I the only teenager who watches Disney channel?
I know, it’s kind of lame. But let me explain myself:

I absolutely hate Hannah Montana and JONAS and there are probably a few more. But I’ve always had a soft spot for cartoons, and love Kim Possible, Penguin of Madagascar (Nick), and Phineas and Ferb (among others). And I actually love watching Disney channel. Sonny with a Chance is okay, and I like Wizards of Waverly Place. So I’m just wondering, are there any other 14 year old girls out there who watch this?

By the way, I know that the acting is terrible. That’s what makes it great to watch!

And the movies are terrible, cheesy, with awful acting and writing, but hey, it’s entertaining.

I am 19 and grew up around Disney.
It’s the base to my morals and ethics! Unfortunately, I can’t STAND anything that they have on there now.
The LAST good cartoon that I watched was Dave the Barbarian. All the live action sh** and weird, poorly animated cartoons will NEVER replace staying up late in the 90’s, watching Zorro, and the old school cartoons from the 60’s.
I would LOVE for Disney to make a channel dedicated to their history.
Playing the classic movies every weekend, and the cartoons that took more time and effort to make everyone’s lives enjoyable!
Shame on the new Disney.
I tried my hardest, but couldn’t keep watching for the life of me.

Commando (1985) IMDB rating: 6.10 Plot: A retired special agent named John Matrix led an elite unit and has left the armed forces to live in a secluded mountain home with his daughter Jenny. In the movie 'The Bridge on the River Kwai', why did stoic Colonel Nicolson collaborate with Japanese?
First, I thought that he wanted to keep the high spirit of his people (British captives) but why did he betray the commandos at the end of the movie? The colonel did not look actually mad at all.

A good question, Pierre Boulle, the author of the novel on which the book was based, was a prisoner in Thailand during WWII and based the character of Colonel Nicholson on some French officers who collaborated with the Japanese, something the British POWs did not do – so the film is not historically accurate. Why he chose to change the nationality only he knows, and it does give me the impression that he was being Anglophobic.

Why did Nicholson co-operate, I think it was to prove to the Japanese that while they might be in charge now, that the enduring strength of British character would endure in the long-term hence his spells in the "oven" and determination not to be broken by the experience. His intention being to demonstrate to his men that they could only survive by being determined. Why did he betray the commandos…I think by then he’d descended into a form of madness and associated himself too closely with his captors that is until the final scene. This is the "Stockholm Syndrome" – the process by which captives begin to grow friendly with either their jailers or kidnappers.

If you ever get a chance the River Kwai region is worth visiting, in Kanchanaburi there is just the bridge, a couple of mueums and an immaculately kept cemetery, but you can still travel along part of the death railway and the scenery is fantastic.

Shot in extremely difficult conditions on location in Ceylon, Sri Lanka and produced by Sam Spiegel, The Bridge on the River Kwai cemented Lean’s reputation as a director as well as foreshadowing the domination he was to have over the box-office for years to come.

The film opens up with a lingering shot of a hawk, hovering high in the sky, before cutting to a birds eye view of a jungle, as we take in the density the camera catches a glimpse of a spattering of crudely dug graves adorned with crosses sitting idly by a railway line. Focusing on the graves we are introduced to two raggedy clothed men, one of whom is Major Sears (William Holden), an American prisoner of war, digging the graves of his fallen comrades; fellow prisoners who have fallen due to hard labour, disease or starvation. The realities of the camp are laid bare within this opening scene, the following dialogue is littered with the gallows humour of men that have become far too accustomed to death.

It seems Hollywood has a tendency to moderate politically sensitive scenes OR add final twists of irony which authors somehow miss. Agree with Jay that the book may be more accurate.

whats going on ?? need help?
ok im on the cross country team and this other guy is on there as well and about 3 months ago he asked me to homecoming and i said yes. i got everything ready (dress makeup and everything .. i was to by a lot of people how pretty i looked.) the night came (again 3 months ago) and he didnt show up at all (good thing i went with a group of friends) i was kind of hurt just a tad. then school starts and months pass by and i still dont recieve any word from him (its not hard we have the same 1st and 2nd class and we pass each other in the hallway so it is kind of weird. and lately my "friends" are starting to treat him way better than me . i mean they talk to him more then they do me now .. which kind of confuses me (yes they are nice and all…) but i was wondering what is going on here I’m so confused everybody was telling me how nice and shy he was in the beginning and that i should say yes to him which is why i told him yes but i mean why would he ask me out and not show up?
now there is more… he is starting to be kind of nice.. he still doesn’t talk or anything but he does hold the door open for me and stuff like that (which he never did in the first place)
