Stargate (1994) IMDB rating: 6.40 Plot: A giant structure found in the desert has studied by various scientist for nearly fifty years and are no where near discovering what it is. Until Daniel jackson, a language expert deciphers and reveals that it’s a Stargate. He also discovers how to make it work. They then learn that it’s some kind interstellar transport device. Now a group of soldiers led by despondent Colonel Jack O’Neill go to the planet, also accompanying them is Jackson, who said that he can reactivate the Stargate to send them back but he forgot to mention that he needs to find the symbols and they can’t find anything, so it appears that they are trapped. And if that isn’t enough, some aliens arrive and capture them and have nefarious plans for Earth.

I need some advice on what to do.?
Hi, I’ve been dating my girlfriend for just about seven months now. We’ve been off and on throughout those months. We break up and then get back together. Well, she breaks up with me and then we get back together. But when we first get together it’s really really good. You know, cuddling, holding hands, play fighting and all that good stuff. But after a week or two she starts to withdraw and "disappear." We’ll be in the same room but it’s like she’s not there ya know? She has 3 amazing kids and I love them and her. She only needed a few things so she went in by herself really quick. Well her phone is a slider and it was open on the passenger seat. Her battery sucks so I went to shut it and saw a message from another guy on there. It was in IM form so I could also read her replies. They have been flirting with eachother and were planning a date together. So, out of curiosity I went through a few more messages and found out that she’s been flirting with yet another guy. I didn’t tell her I knew what was going on, I just acted normal. I watched how she acted throughout the day. I noticed that when she starts texting on her phone she starts to ignore me and withdraw. Why did Star Trek: Nemesis make half of what Insurrection made? Nemesis was a far superior movie. Explanation?

I think by the time "Nemesis" came out many Trek fans already blamed executive producer Rick Berman for what they felt was running the franchise into the ground. Trying to turn Shinzon into the modern day Khan Noonien Singh was more or less the last straw, and thus likely boycotted the movie as a result.
Myself, I liked "Nemesis". Plenty of action, as promised, plus I love the Enterprise-E going all out in battle. Many Trek purists preferred "Insurrection" of the two, since the plot was felt more like the original series.

i’ll agree with the fifth doctor on this one.i liked nemesis as well,especially the starship battle scenes(they put wrath of khan to shame!).however,nemesis was nothing more than a bad wrath of khan rewrite.

i’ll go over the similarites point by point:

1.main bad guy created by genetic engineering:khan in wrath of khan,shinzon was a genetically engineered clone of picard

2.main bad guy was sent into exile at 1 point in their lives:khan was exiled to ceti alpha 5,shinzon was sent to remus

3.main bad guy wants revenge on a captain of the enterprise:khan wanted his revenge for his exile on ceti alpha 5,shinzon wanted vengencance on picard because picard lived the life that shinzon never did

4.main character sacrifices himself to save the ship:spock in wrath of khan,data in nemesis

5.main bad guy acquires weapon of great power and threatens enterprise with it:khan had genesis,shinzon had thalaron radiation

6.one character "downloads"himself into another:spock transfers his katra to mccoy in wrath of khan,data downloads his memories into B4

7.both had directors that were totally unfamilar with star trek:it worked for wrath of khan,but not for nemesis

i’m sure there are others,but you see my point

now i know that 1 of the criticisms of star trek 6 was that it was a rewrite of star trek 2,however there was enough original material to make this less obvious.

also the fact that john logan was given free reign with the screenplay and wasn’t controlled also stuart baird,great editor,not so good as a director!

Enterprise was the series on the air at the time and Rick Berman and Brannon Braga were being soundly criticized by long time fans for making a mess of the show. They hated that B&B caved in to the shipping wars among first time fans who had a write-in campaign asking for a romance between two of the characters. The show was already having trouble hitting its stride with a major story arc that went abslutely nowhere and disappeared after the first season with no resolution. Then to have it turned into an outer space romance, complete with prime time sex scenes, instead of exploration of space and character development – well, it was the last straw. Longtime fans stopped watching the series and decided to boycott the movie in order to let Paramount know they were unhappy with the direction B&B were taking the franchise. "Nemesis" was an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire. But the longtime fans got their point across. Enterprise was canceled after only four seasons and "Nemesis" was a loss at the box office.
Longtime fans knew one thing Paramount didn’t know: there aren’t enough first time teenage fans in the world to make up for the number of longtime fans who turned off their TVs or stayed away from the movies. After Enterprise was canceled, those young fans went on to Harry Potter, Twilight, etc. fandoms without a backward glance at Star Trek.
Time will tell if the longtimers still have the clout to affect the future reboot movies.

I believe that the undertaker wins hands down. or eyeballs up. He isn’t quite so preachy like other wrestlers and that is part of his appeal. Shawn michaels is more of a legend then almost anybody else in the write-up you did, but the deadman wins.
Y2J Vs E.G. : both legendary in their own right, but not only did Eddie seem to the more outrageous of the stunts, I think they kind of made him a martyr after he died. He got an entire episode of raw and smackdown dedicated to him, whilst others have barely gotten mentioned.
Kane is scary. enough said.
If I had to think up some other legendary gimmicks, I would say in order of awesomeness: Sting, Austin, DX, Hogan, The Rock, NWO…

The Undertaker, similar to Hogan, is a "made up" larger-than-life character. The difference, and it’s a major one, is that the Undertaker stays in character and doesn’t break kayfabe, lending more credibility to his "other-worldly" gimmick. He doesn’t drag family problems out in public and put them on TV and in newspapers for the whole world to gossip about. The Undertaker, for nearly two decades, has maintained the credibility of his character, and just as important, has maintained the mysteriousness of the character. We can guess and speculate about him all we want, but because he keeps kayfabe, doesn’t get involved in scandals outside the WWE, and doesn’t talk very much, he has managed to keep his character "other-worldy" and larger-than-life MUCH more effectively than Hogan has. Undertaker is truly a hall of famer, he is the biggest larger than life character I can really think of in WWE, I could make a argument that Hulk Hogan is the biggest larger than life character due to his Hulkamaniacs, world title reigns, longevity in the business, and being the babe ruth of Professional Wrestling and all, but I think it pales in comparison to the Undertaker. Just the Character of the Undertaker is so mystical, he has been involved in so many of the biggest moments in WWE history, created superstars, people who step in the ring with the Undertaker are made famous, like Lesnar, Batista, John Cena, and many others. Others have tried to pull similar characters off, but just fail to succeed at it examples, Mordecai, Gangrel, Keven Thorn, Judas Mesias, most was perceived as cheap knockoffs of the Undertaker character. Undertaker has a presence about himself, he truly is the Personification of Darkness, and a force to be reckon with.

Eddie’s gimmick simply because it was more entertaining and the fans loved it.

Masked Kane, hands down.This is a man who takes joy in hurting random people, and even going as far as to set his own kin on fire. Masked Kane is intimidating mentally and physically.

"Macy!" My mom singsonged from the kitchen. I silently groan and get up from my postion (curled up on a blue beanbag next the the warm radiator) and trudge into the kitchen.
"What?"
"Would you go to the store and buy some eggs, dear?" she asked still using her singsong voice.
"Fine." I say grudgingly. I was just about to fall asleep on that beanbag aswell.

My converses have soaked through my socks and my socks have soaked through to the bone of my tiny feet. The ends of my black skinny jeans are also soaked. But nothings gunna stop me: I’m on an urgent mission to collect eggs from the supermarket.Taking the umbrella out of my black, badge covered bag I start to hum a tune. You know when you get a song stuck in your head and it just wont go away? Yeah, thats what I’ve got. In case you’re wondering the song is ‘You and I’ by Tyler Brown Williams and seeing as its incredibly long I always forget the lyrics.
"Like a bird needs the air, Like a flower needs the earth to care, I need you Like the sun needs the mo-"
Crash.
"What the hell?"screeched a painfully familar voice."You little freak! Watch where you’re going!"
I looked up at her smug green eyes and saw she had her hands on her hips and mud on her top from when she just fell. I snorted. What a funny sight, Amber Brown with mud on her top?!? Call the police!
"Ugh!" she complained, looking down at me as if I’m some kind of ugly creature that just crawled out from under a rock. Then she pushed me. Thats right, she placed her perfectly manicured hands on my shoulders and pushed me, hard.
"Freak."she whispered, angrily before walking off, her long blonde hair swaying in the harsh wind. What a loser. I could be like her, I’m not exactly ugly and I can be mean; when I feel like it.

Brushing the dirt off my jeans, I attempted to stand up, but in front of me was a hand. Wait. What? A hand? I looked up, and instead of seeing spiteful, piercing green eyes I saw gentle deep brown ones.
"Are you okay?" a voice asked. The voice was suprisingly gentle and mesmerising.
"I–Oh!-um-uhh…" I stuttered, my cheeks flushing a million different shades of red."..Y-Yeah I..uh..I’m fine! Just tripped thats all..!"
I took his hand, and I sware for at least split second my heart stopped beating.
"Oh..Well thats good." he replied smiling gently. Holy crap! Are you okay? Thats good? What on earth is happening?! Nobody notices the invisble girl, the freak, the emo. Nobody notices her! Ecspecially not cute guys like him! I have got to be dreaming! Theres an awkard silence, and being the idiot I am; I laugh. Not even a small chuckle either, I laugh so hard that I can barely breath.

Instead of backing away, he laughed too. And we ended up stood hand in hand, having a laughing fit, tears falling from our eyes colliding with the rain thats falling from the sky. Okay, I know. We looked like complete idiots, and old ladies were walking by shooting us dirty looks as if we were up to no good. Once we had calmed down, he walked to the supermarket with me. Now I have accompaniment on my vital mission to get eggs. We ran through the rain, chatting as if we had known each other our whole lifes. Which we had, if my whole life consisted of 30 minutes.

I found out that his name is Shawn Reeds, hes one year older than me, he loves music and he just moved here from London. I also know he has the most amazing eyes and a smile that I’d die for. I didnt tell him that of corse.

You got Peyton mixed up with Brady. Peyton only goes after the refs if they do something stupid. He never asks for penalty’s like Tom Gaydy does, and the worst part is that they give it to the crybaby. Ridiculous.
